Using an Oil Cleanser removes makeup, dirt and impurities that have built up during the day.
Oil Cleansing is so gentle and relaxing. Take a few minutes and enjoy the facial massage because self care is important and so is looking after your skin. It may take a little longer than regular cleansers, (just a few extra minutes) but it is worth it.
Oil Cleansing vs Stripping
Soaps can be quite harsh and although they clean the surface oil and dirt, they can also dry out the top layers of the skin by stripping our skin's own oil (sebum). Our sebaceous glands naturally produce Sebum to protect our skin so we need to use the right oils to keep it healthy, cleansed and balanced.
Removing the Oil
A good quality face cloth (made from Hemp or Bamboo) is ideal to remove the oil without scratching the face. The fibres are tiny and the material will feel heavenly soft on your skin. Steam your face several times with your hot cloth (rinsing and repeating this step) to break down and remove the oil cleanser thoroughly. Your skin should feel supple and dewy and your face will be ready for a moisturiser.
Instructions: On damp skin, massage a few pumps of oil onto your face and neck for 1-3 minutes. Use a hot face cloth several times to steam your face and remove the oil. While the skin is still moist, follow with our Balance Serum, Revitalize or Rustic Goddess. Do this routine once a day or twice a day.
